Sometimes things happen for a reason. When I last visited my parent’s farm, they insisted I remove a stack of glass jars that I’d been warehousing in their garage. Four years earlier, I had purchased 40 cases of 8oz glass jars for packing honey, only to discover they are the wrong size. The eight ounce jar is perfect for olives, pickles, sun dried tomatoes and hot peppers, but not pure Canadian honey. Little did I know when I bought them, this odd size is actually illegal for food producers to use (in Canada) because its not on the list of approved sizes. There are six different sizes for producers to use. This is because consumers get confused and cannot shop for honey in all different size jars with different volumes and prices. The anything-goes, colorful world of HARTH really came to life at 99 Sudbury St in Toronto on Weds 26 October 2011. Smojoe is helping promote SPOTLIGHT Unplugged this month, the Up Close and Personal music event fundraiser at the Berkeley Church, 315 Queen St E is to benefit Fife House and support their efforts to provide secure and affordable housing for those living with HIV/AIDS. This is good cause and the event promises to be memorable as it features ‘candid’ acoustic and piano performances by notable Canadian talents. Spotlight Unplugged. Channing Smendziuk is Miss Teen Canada 2010 Miss Teen Canada World Winners press release gives insight into the action-packed week of activities, events and experiences that culminated in a dazzling night, the Grand Finale on July 17th. The 2010 Innovators Ball at the Ontario Science Center was a very exciting evening. I went hogwarts in there. There were young beautiful people in costumes playing characters from all the different Harry Potter movies. I love this picture of me and some girl I’m not even sure who she is no kidding I lifted this from a Deb Lewis Facebook photo album wherein I received notice I was tagged. Wow. Thanks. This is actually not what I look like, which is why I like it so much. May 6th 2010 was a mild evening outside, and a steamy hot night inside the cavernous spaces of the Ontario Science Centre at Eglinton and Don Mills. Smojoe didn’t go to WordCamp because it was too far away. I was going to go, and I’d even purchased a $35 ticket earlier in the week, but on that Saturday as I sat reading everyone’s tweets I had critical second thoughts, and so I skipped it. I stayed home all weekend and wrote content for Lenzr, and my own Smojoe Social Media Manual. The Smojoe Social Media Manual is an easy to read, straight forward handbook that shows exactly how I use advanced social media marketing practices to put my clients on the first page of Google for any keyword they choose. Sunday Feb 28th, minutes ago Canada won the gold medal in Men’s Ice Hockey and my Twitter feed erupted with mostly one word tweets. Truly amazing – no other event could so singularly dominate that space except perhaps an alien invasion. I follow two hundred souls @Roberrific and fifty more and mostly different folks @Lenzr but it would seem that everyone who matters in my Twitterverse is 100% Canadian. Speaking of Lenzr, tonight, the international ice hockey event was just the opening act. Tonight all three photo contests will end at midnight! Who will win the Locaboire wine tour? The automated scoring system leaves no doubts about the prize winners. The twitter community of Toronto united at The Courthouse on Thursday February 11th 2010 to donate their money over drinks and conversation to the people of Haiti, who need it more than anyone else in the world. It was a very entertaining evening, and I had a great time talking to everyone, especially the bloggers and business people who came out to mix and mingle and help make a difference. Of course the music was too loud. And it really was impossible to hear anything in the main room, where everyone gathered, and I found myself seeking corridors and cavities away from the audio assault. The DJ played dance music, like any other night at The Courthouse, and it was a little sad.
