Yet by employing science, art and music, their wits and survival skills, the teens do eventually manage to navigate medieval society, outfox inquisitors, and gather the resources required to return home. But when Neil discovers their high school principal lurking about, working to defeat their group, he understands the stakes are higher than he could have ever imagined, and everything he has ever known including his own parents, could vanish in the sands of time.
